What will I study in the Quran Tajweed course?


Makharij al-Huroof (Articulation Points): A detailed study of exactly where each Arabic letter originates (throat, tongue, lips) to ensure perfect pronunciation

Sifaat al-Huroof (Characteristics): Learning the unique qualities of letters, such as heavy (Tafkheem) vs. light (Tarqeeq) sounds, and the echoing effect (Qalqalah).

Noon Sakinah & Tanween Rules: Mastering the four primary rules (Izhar, Idgham, Iqlab, and Ikhfa) to smoothly connect words during recitation.

Meem Sakinah & Madd Rules: Understanding when to merge or hide sounds, and knowing exactly when and how long to stretch specific vowels (Prolongation).

Waqf Rules (Stopping): Learning the correct signs and methods to pause, stop, or resume reading without altering the divine meaning of the verses.

Practical Application: Continuous, live practice on actual Quranic Surahs to correct errors and build reading fluency.

Requirements

To join this advanced course, the student must already possess foundational Arabic reading skills. You should be able to identify joined Arabic letters and comfortably read words with basic vowels (Fatha, Kasra, Damma), Sukoon, and Shaddah. If you have completed a basic Quran Reading (Nazra) course but struggle with speed or specific rules, this course is perfect for you. However, absolute beginners must complete our Noorani Qaida course first.
